Fleet Driver

The Fleet Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of goods, staff, or materials across designated locations. This position requires a responsible and detail-oriented individual who can operate company vehicles while adhering to schedules, safety standards, and organizational policies. The Fleet Driver is responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles, coordinating with logistics or operations teams, and ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. This role involves consistent route planning, vehicle inspections, and compliance with transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, good knowledge of routes, and the ability to handle deliveries efficiently. This role is essential in supporting daily operations and maintaining smooth logistical flow within the organization.

Responsibilities

1. Transport goods, staff, or materials safely and efficiently to designated locations
2. Follow assigned schedules and delivery routes to ensure timely operations
3. Conduct routine vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, etc.)
4. Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles
5. Load and unload goods when required, ensuring safe handling
6. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
7. Keep accurate records of trips, deliveries, fuel usage, and maintenance
8. Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly
9. Coordinate with dispatch or logistics teams for scheduling and updates
10. Ensure proper documentation for deliveries and pickups
11. Assist in basic vehicle troubleshooting when necessary

Requirements

1. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
2. Proven experience as a driver, preferably in fleet or logistics operations
3. Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
4. Ability to handle long driving hours and meet deadlines
5. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Job Requirements

• Strong sense of responsibility and time management.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Physical ability to load and unload goods if required.
